Thank you for a successful Oktoberfest!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the Frachthaus Zer0.5K and turned out for Oktoberfest. We hope everyone had a wonderful time!
Also a huge THANK YOU to all of our support team and the event sponsors, listed below. Cannoneers and Wister's Barbecue as well as our brewers really stepped up to help when we were overwhelmed by hungry, thirsty crowds! The Philadelphia German Brass Band was awesome, the G.T.V. Alrausch German Dance Group (pictured) were great, and our volunteers worked hard.
We couldn't have done it without the support of the Lansdale community. Discover Lansdale learned a lot from our first Oktoberfest (the Lansdale Library ran the event in years past), and we're looking forward to bigger and better events in the years to come. THANK YOU ALL!!

Add a little oom-pah to your October with Discover Lansdale's fabulous Oktoberfest celebration, featuring the second annual running of the Frachthaus Zer0.5K, on Saturday, Oct. 26.
ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT DISCOVER LANSDALE'S RESTORATION PROJECT AT THE HISTORIC READING FREIGHT HOUSE.

There is so much happening that day, we don't know where to begin. So we'll just dive in:
Oktoberfest 2019
The Oktoberfest, at the Freight House at South Broad and Vine Sts., from 3 to 7 pm. Entry price Includes:
Individual & group costumes are encouraged and we will find a way to reward you. Cool sunglasses, crazy hats, short shorts, pajamas, you name it, come dressed for fun! (Though we encourage fall harvest or German attire — this is, after all, an Oktoberfest!)
Entry: $35 (ages 21-up), $15 (under 21), Free ages 8 and under. Tickets available at the door.
Frachthaus Zer0.5K Run/Walk

Liberty Bell Trail Dedication
We at Discover Lansdale are honored to host the ribbon-cutting for the freshly finished portion of Lansdale's Liberty Bell Trail as part of our Oktoberfest celebration. The open stretch of the walking/hiking/biking path runs from Andale Green and Stony Creek Park, by the Freight House, and up into the Lansdale Madison Station apartment complex,
The dedication will be held at 2 pm Saturday, with a ribbon-cutting at the corner of Railroad Ave. and S. Broad St., in front of Borough Hall. Attendees are scheduled to include State Sen. Bob Mensch, State Rep. Steve Malagari, Montgomery County Commissioners Val Arkoosh and Ken Lawrence, as well as members of Lansdale Borough Council and other special guests.

Frachthaus Zer0.5K Run/Walk
- Yes, that is POINT 5k, as in 0.5k
- Join your fellow underachievers for an afternoon of glory and celebration to raise money for a great community project, the Lansdale Freight House.
- All registrants receive a complimentary cold beverage (beer/soda) before the start, a participant T-shirt, of course, a participation metal, to help you brag about your achievement, pretzels and water at the mid-way point, and entry into the Lansdale Oktoberfest
- Registration: $40 (ages 21-up, $20 (under 21), or ...
- VIP OPTION, VERY LIMITED: Don’t think you can make the full 1,640 feet? Be a VIP. For a $100 donation you don’t even have to run! Ride the official Frachthaus Zer0.5K shuttle, a gas powered picnic table, complete with umbrella and a full spread of special VIP only snacks for your journey. You still get your complimentary beverage at the start, entry into Oktoberfest and all the other goodies. But the best thing is, you get a bigger medal than everyone else because you are more important!
