Oct. 4: One Hot Time In One Cool Town!
Fall is finally here — and things are getting chili-er in Lansdale!
Welcome to Discover Lansdale's next First Friday, October 4, celebrating our annual Fall Festival and Chili Cookoff! Always a favorite, this taste test pits the best of our town's home kitchen magicians against some of the borough's best eateries, all for bragging rights for the next 12 months. And the real beneficiaries are the crowds that get to sample the competitors' creations, all part of yet another fabulous First Friday, And even if you tastes run a bit less spicy, First Friday's full menu has you covered. As always, we have more great food offerings, fall-themed amusements for the kiddos, refreshments for young and old, balloons, face painting and music with DJ Evans Entertainment and the band Exit 31 on our main stage. Don't forget the monthly drawing for a gift basket worth more than $300 gift baskets in the Discover Lansdale Passport Program. Just drop off your card with at least eight stamps at the DL table for a chance to win! And if you don't yet have a passport, grab one at the October FF or the Chamber of Commerce Office on Madison Street — but hurry, the program ends with the annual Zombie Walk Nov. 1! It's easy: Just collect stamps by shopping, dining, and playing at participating borough businesses. All your favorite features return to First Friday’s new location and layout along Madison Street (see map at bottom of page):

GENERAL INFORMATION First Fridays begin at 6 p.m. and end promptly at 9 p.m. Road closures include Madison Street from Main to Wood Streets — cars parked in that portion of the Madison lot will be towed. Parking is available at Lansdale’s West Main Street, Walnut Street and Vine Street Lots as well as on-street parking. SEPTA has re-established fees for parking in the Lansdale station surface lot ($2) as well as the 680-spot SEPTA Parking Garage ($4), but space should be plentiful When inclement weather threatens, a decision will be announced by 1 p.m. Friday regarding whether the event will be held.
