The big news is Lansdale Borough's 150th birthday; on August 24, 1872, the Borough was officially created. And all this year, Lansdale will stage a celebration for the ages! Below you will find the official events, as well as our regular full slate of happenings. Arbor Day Tree Planting
April 10 and April 23
As part of the Sesquicentennial Celebration, we will be planting 150 trees all across the borough — starting with a ceremonial planting dedicated to the memory of longtime Parks Director Carl Saldutti. Click for coverage of the events. |
International Spring Festival

America's pastime as it looked nearly a century ago, plus a high-school varsity game starting at 1. Just added: The Philly Phanatic tosses out the first pitch of the old-time game! Lansdale First United Methodist Church 150th
Sunday morning, May 22, at 300 North Broad Street
The Borough isn't the only Lansdale institution with a century and a half of history under its belt. On May 22, the Lansdale First United Methodist Church celebrates its 150th (+1) Anniversary through sharing stories during worship at 9 a.m. and with a special presentation of the history of the church as it grew with the borough of Lansdale by Pat Rieker of the Lansdale Historical Society at 11 a.m. The public is invited. |
Memorial Day Parade
Monday, May 30th, starting at 9 a.m.
The parade kicks off at 9 a.m. at Main St. and Cannon Ave., and will end with a Memorial Day ceremony at the monuments in Memorial Park, Main St. and Line St., immediately following the parade. Hosted by the American Legion William Hare Post No. 206 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 32. Please join us as we honor our fallen heroes. |
Lansdale Day and Strawberry Festival

Lansdale Open Gardens Tour
Saturday, July 9, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., all around Lansdale
Visit some of our borough's beautiful public and private gardens during the first Open Gardens Tour, an Anniversary-affiliated community event. Tour more than 15 featured gardens at your own pace on this self-guided free event and chat with other local gardening enthusiasts. Food donations for the nonprofit Garden of Health Food Bank will be collected along the way. Maps available soon.
