Celebrating a Sesquicentennial — and More!

The big news is Lansdale Borough's 150th birthday; on August 24, 1872, the Borough was officially created. And all this year, Lansdale will stage a celebration for the ages! Below you will find the official events, as well as our regular full slate of happenings. Check back often for updates, and if your organization has an event to add, just fill out the form at the bottom of this page to let us know!

Lansdale Farmers Market

Saturdays May 14-Nov. 19, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Penndale Middle School.

Shop for the freshest produce, meats and packaged goods from local farms and producers. The Lansdale Farmers Market is a multi-year regional award-winner.

Old-Time Baseball Weekend

COMPLETED! The rain couldn't dampen the spirits at The Lansdale 150 Old Time Baseball weekend, as a panel discussion explored the entwined history of baseball and the borough on Friday, and two antique teams played in turn-of-the-century rules on Saturday. Click for photos!

Lansdale Day and Strawberry Festival

COMPLETED! The return of a sweet Lansdale tradition, the Strawberry Festival at the Fairmount Fire House, took place on a lovely Saturday afternoon. Thanks to everyone who volunteered, sponsored and joined us for a delicious treat. Click for photos.

Summer Concert In The Park Series

COMPLETED! Bring a lawn chair or blanket, and join Lansdale Borough's Department of Parks and Recreation's summer series of outdoor pop, rock and jazz concerts. Free. Check the lineup here. 

Under The Lights Car Show

COMPLETED! Block after block of custom and antique cars buffed to better-than-new brilliance, and thousands of on-lookers strolling a  state highway remembering or dreaming of that special ride. Organized by, and for the benefit of, Lansdale's volunteer Fairmount Fire Company.




Lansdale Open Gardens Tour

Saturday, July 9, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., all around Lansdale

COMPLETED! Some of our borough's beautiful public and private gardens were on display during the first Open Gardens Tour, an Anniversary-affiliated community event. More than 25 gardens were featured on the self-guided tour, with food donations collected for the nonprofit Garden of Health Food Bank along the way. https://www.facebook.com/LansdaleOpenGardensDay

Community Day In The Park

COMPLETED! A grand community-wide flea market and yard sale with vendors, food, music, old-time games, and much more was a huge success. A gorgeous day, about 50 vending and garage-sale-ing partipants and hundreds of shoppers and visitors. We also dedicate the 150 Gazebo in memory of our own "Mayor Mike" DiNunzio. 'Dealers Through The Decades' Auto Show

Saturday, July 30, 1 p.m. Rain or Shine, Memorial Park / Weaver Field

COMPLETED! For a Borough whose motto is "Life in Motion," these are the classic conveyances that set us on the road to the future, and the entrepreneurs who handed us the keys. Weaver Field was filled for this Lansdale 150 ride down memory lane. Click for recap and photos.

St. Stanislaus Summer Festival

COMPLETED! A week's worth of fun! St. Stanislaus RC Church in Lansdale hosts its annual Summer Festival with kids' midway games, food, carnival rides, a garage sale, bingo, and live music every night!


Founders Day 150

Saturday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., all around Lansdale

COMPLETED. As Lansdale's Founders Day enters its 11th year, we combined our annual birthday celebration with the finale of the Sesquicentennial celebration. All the elements were there, including Lansdale's Arts Festival in Memorial Park, a beer garden, food trucks, kids activities and bands and more — and a special fireworks display wrapping up the 150th!

Lansdale Bike Night 2022

COMPLETED! The 25th anniversary of the huge event hosted by the Blue Comet MC and presented by Discover Lansdale. Music, vendors, and the largest one-day event of its kind on the East Coast.
