Celebrating a Sesquicentennial — and More!

The big news is Lansdale Borough's 150th birthday; on August 24, 1872, the Borough was officially created. And all this year, Lansdale will stage a celebration for the ages! Below you will find the official events, as well as our regular full slate of happenings. Check back often for updates, and if your organization has an event to add, just fill out the form at the bottom of this page to let us know!

Lansdale Farmers Market

Shop for the freshest produce, meats and packaged goods from local farms and producers. The Lansdale Farmers Market is a multi-year regional award-winner.


150th Anniversary Kickoff Gala

Arbor Day Tree Planting

As part of the Sesquicentennial Celebration, we will be planting 150 trees all across the borough — starting with a ceremonial planting dedicated to the memory of longtime Parks Director Carl Saldutti. Click for coverage of the events.


International Spring Festival

The 31st year of the largest celebration of diversity and inclusion in the state. International foods, music, entertainment, a Health Fair and tons of children’s activities. 

Lansdale Historical Society Spring Tea

Old-Time Baseball Day

The Lansdale 150 Old Time Baseball weekend will bring back turn-of-the-century baseball with a true doubleheader! America's pastime as it looked nearly a century ago, plus a high-school varsity game starting at 1. Just added: The Philly Phanatic tosses out the first pitch of the old-time game! Don't miss his appearance from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday. And join us Friday at Well Crafted Beer Co. on Madison St. for a panel discussion of The History of Baseball in Lansdale!

Lansdale First United Methodist Church 150th

The Borough isn't the only Lansdale institution with a century and a half of history under its belt. On May 22, the Lansdale First United Methodist Church celebrates its 150th (+1) Anniversary through sharing stories during worship at 9 a.m. and with a special presentation of the history of the church as it grew with the borough of Lansdale by Pat Rieker of the Lansdale Historical Society at 11 a.m. The public is invited.

Memorial Day Parade

Monday, May 30th, starting at 9 a.m.

The parade kicks off at 9 a.m. at Main St. and Cannon Ave., and will end with a Memorial Day ceremony at the monuments in Memorial Park, Main St. and Line St., immediately following the parade. Hosted by the American Legion William Hare Post No. 206 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 32. Please join us as we honor our fallen heroes.

Lansdale Day and Strawberry Festival

The Rotary Club of North Penn hosts its huge 45th Lansdale Day Art & Crafts Festival — and joining it in 2022 is the return of a sweet Lansdale 150 tradition, the Strawberry Festival at the Fairmount Fire House.

Summer Concert In The Park Series

Under The Lights Car Show

Block after block of custom and antique cars buffed to better-than-new brilliance, and thousands of on-lookers strolling a  tate highway remembering or dreaming of that special ride. Organized by, and for the benefit of, Lansdale's volunteer Fairmount Fire Company.



Lansdale Beer Tasting Festival

After a two-year hiatus, the Lansdale Beer Tasting Festival is back! It's set for Saturday, June 25 from noon to 4 p.m. at Cannoneers Field, Fifth and Maple Streets. General admission is $60. c

Lansdale Open Gardens Tour

Saturday, July 9, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., all around Lansdale

Visit some of our borough's beautiful public and private gardens during the first Open Gardens Tour, an Anniversary-affiliated community event. Tour more than 15 featured gardens at your own pace on this self-guided free event and chat with other local gardening enthusiasts. Food donations for the nonprofit Garden of Health Food Bank will be collected along the way. Maps available soon.

Community Day In The Park

Founders Day 150

As Lansdale's Founders Day enters its 11th year, we combine our annual birthday celebration with the finale of the Sesquicentennial celebration. All the elements will be there, including Lansdale's Arts Festival in Memorial Park, a beer garden, food trucks, kids activities and bands and more — and a special fireworks display to wraup up the 150th!

Lansdale Bike Night 2022

It's the 25th anniversary of the huge event hosted by the Blue Comet MC and presented by Discover Lansdale!  Rain or shine, free for spectators, with music, vendors, and the largest one-day event on the East Coast.
