— Lansdale Historical Society's fall features schedule continues Tuesday, Oct. 13, when you can learn about Rites of Passage: A History of Funeral Customs presented by Warren Miller of Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, at 7 p.m. at Lansdale Borough Hall. On Saturday, Oct. 31, join a Halloween History Hunt for Kids at Lansdale Cemetery, South Broad Street at Whites Road, from 10 a.m. to noon. Open to kids of elementary age or younger — parent or guardian must accompany, no drop-offs allowed. On Tuesday, Nov. 10, see Turning a Corner: The Story of the Southwest Corner of Main & Broad, a retrospective view of the corner at the center of Lansdale and the businesses that have occupied the space, including the historic Hotel Tremont, presented by Mindy Oh at 7 p.m. at Borough Hall. — Elm Terrace neighborhood yard sale — 15+ homes — on Saturday, Oct. 3, 8 a.m. to noon. Multiple streets will be participating, including Elm Dr., Forrest St., Oak Dr., Ridge St. and N. Chestnut St. Furniture, home décor, clothing, toys, books, household items, tools, collectibles and more. GPS: 115 Oak Dr.
— The first concert of the 2026-27 season for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra — its 55th season — will be Saturday, Oct. 3 with Missy Mazzoli’s These Worlds In Us, Beethoven’s majestic Pastoral Symphony, and Respighi’s explosive Pines of Rome. Mazzoli, one of the most celebrated living composers today, was born in Lansdale. The concert starts at 7:30 at at Calvary Baptist Church, 1380 S. Valley Forge Rd. — Lansdale Parks & Recreation hosts the fourth annual Spooktacular Soirée on Friday, Oct. 9, from 5 to 9 p.m. at White's Road Park. Start with trick-or-treating in the park, and stick around for a screening of The Addams Family (2019) under the stars. Information at www.lansdale.org/802/Spooktacular-Soiree
— Lansdale's Environmental Advisory Commission (EAC) is offering a bird walk through White's Road Park Saturday, Oct. 10 from 8 to 9 a.m., meeting at the Rotary Club Kiosk at the park. — Holiday Mardi Gras Parade, Saturday, Nov. 21. Lansdale’s iconic (and famously mis-named) huge holiday kick-off welcomes Santa to town for the season. This year, to celebrate its 75th anniversary, the parade goes under the lights — starting at 5 p.m.! Mardi Gras webpage
— Festival of Trees, Dec. 4-19. Local shops and organizations compete for top honors. Details to come.
— The Lansdale Borough Environmental Advisory Commission will host a showing of "The Plastic Detox" film on Friday, Jan. 8, 2027, at 6:30 p.m. at Borough Hall. The film follows six couples struggling with infertility who participate in a plastic detox of their homes and lives. The 90-minute film will be followed by a discussion of the impacts of plastic on health and how to minimize your own and others’ exposure to microplastics.
