Baseball and Barbecue

July' 11, 2026: 'Second Saturday' Baseball and Barbecue in the Park Was (Wet and) Wonderful!

What a great day!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out for Discover Lansdale's annual Second Saturday celebration — our vendors, the vintage base ball clubs, our incredible volunteers, and our amazing community. While the rain may have shortened the day for some, it was wonderful to see so many people stick it out until the sunshine returned with Hootenanny Tweed playing.

We’d also like to give a special shout-out to our Lansdale Foxes vintage base ball team. We may have been a bunch of rookies, but what a fun group to be a part of! We held our own against players from two outstanding clubs — the Brandywine and Keystone Vintage Base Ball Clubs — and had a great time doing it. Check out our all-star lineup below.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today such a memorable event. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

And a special thank you to Chris Flyzik, for the team photo above.
