Second Saturday Celebration Hits It Out Of The Park!
The USA's two top pastimes — baseball and barbecue — returned to Lansdale in a big way, for one big day! This great event, dubbed "Second Saturday," combined all the First Friday favorites with a double dose of baseball.
The Brandywine Base Ball Club faced off against the Rising Sun Base Ball Club on Weaver Field at Memorial Park for a turn-of-the-20th-rules day-long doubleheader. Music, food and family fun rounded out the celebration:
Entertainment at the Gazebo was provided by DJ Tone Arm and Hootenanny Tweed; the Retroware Arcade Trailer was on the scene as well. In the Beer Garden were Well Crafted, Boardroom Spirits, Round Guys, Ten7, Cardinal Hollow and Shotz of Love. Food Vendors included the Meat Wagon, Kono Pizza, Moshava, Cannoneers and The Main Freeze. The kids' zone featured water and sports-themed inflatables.
